What a Week!

Nana & Papa stayed with us last weekend,

then he went to Nana & Papa's for 3 days,

then we went to Muskeegon for 2 days,

went out for his birthday Thrusday night,

and had the Askew family over on Saturday.

This picture was taken Sunday morning after his very busy

but wonderful week:)

Michael Turns Three

We all went out to our favorite little Mexican restaurant for Michael's third birthday. The entire restaurant sang Happy Birthday to Michael. It was so cute. He looked around in disbelief that everyone was singing to him and then tried to hide under my arm.

He truly enjoyed ALL of his fried ice-cream

To Michael: This picture captures one of the many smiles you bring to my face each and every day. Words can not express how much I love you! You are so smart, kind, loving and playful. I love how you yell my name and run to give me a hug when I pick you up from daycare. I love how you just cuddle and lay with me on the couch in the morning. I love it when you ask to brush my hair. I love it when you and your dad play cars and wrestle on the bed. I love that you are potty trained:) I love to play dominoes, candy land and memory with you. I love it when you give me kisses on the cheek and when you say,"I want to hug you." I love how you squinch your face and eyes and cock your head back to say your prayers at night. I could not have asked God for a more beautiful child. I love you!!

and he loves it!

We play it a few times a week and he usually beats me

because I always get the gingerbread man card:(

Father's Day

Well, we came back from camping and went to a birthday party today. Not your "traditional" Father's Day festivities, whatever those are. What was important was that we spent time together. Morris is a wonderful father and Michael adores him. He loves playing outside and going to the park with his dad, going on walks with him, racing cars with him and his piggy back rides. Happy Father's Day, sweetie. We love you!!

SATURDAY

Michael says, "Uh, Oh. He's on the ground."
I say, "Lift your rod up."
He does. I take one more picture and then rescue the poor fish.
