Father's Day

Well, we came back from camping and went to a birthday party today. Not your "traditional" Father's Day festivities, whatever those are. What was important was that we spent time together. Morris is a wonderful father and Michael adores him. He loves playing outside and going to the park with his dad, going on walks with him, racing cars with him and his piggy back rides. Happy Father's Day, sweetie. We love you!!

Michael's First Camping Trip

FRIDAY NIGHT

Michael posing at the fire pit.
Michael watches from a distance as his dad builds a fire.
My first smores. YUMMY!
Michael slept through the vicious thunderstorm Friday night.
Well, he did wake up once, looked over at us, then went back to sleep.
If only Morris and I could have done the same:)

SATURDAY

Michael and BJ smile for an early morning picture while Morris cooks breakfast.
Our little fisherman, fishing for the first time.
Michaels pulls his rod back, starts walking backwards and yells,
"I gotta fish. I gotta fish."
Michael says, "Uh, Oh. He's on the ground."
I say, "Lift your rod up."
He does. I take one more picture and then rescue the poor fish.
Michael at the shore Saturday morning.
He loves the water, or as Michael says, "I'm at the beach."
He loved kicking the water and more so at me!
Mom and Dad Askew came down for the day:)
The Askew family doing one of the things they do best when they get together,
play dominoes.
Papa Askew enjoying himself as he races Morris's car.
BJ, Michael and Shania (Michael's cousins) walking hand in hand to the playground.
Michael and Shania
I don't even know what you call this thing but
Shania and BJ had a ball on it.
Most of the time BJ couldn't hang with Shania, the gymnist.
Look carefully. Yup.
That's Morris going for a spin.
Playing Badminton which BJ was really good at:)
Michael... not so much!
BJ and Shania wrote in the sand while Michael tried to kill ants.
Michael and BJ raced cars around the fire pit A LOT.
Father and son on their way to walk through the woods.
Michael opts for his favorite mode of transportation.
