Aliyah and Violet

Aliyah is here with her puppy pal, Violet, before bed. She plays with Violet every night for about a half an hour before she finally falls asleep. Violet says her name, counts, says the abc's, spells her name, plays lullabies and asks her questions. She loves it! Thank you Auntie Candy!

I still peak in on him while he sleeps and kiss his sweet cheeks or forehead.
What a sweet blessing he is.
Why he loves this baboon stuffed animal, I don't know.
Maybe its because I say they have "ugly butts."
Check out his pillow.

Sound Asleep

Uh, Oh, I woke somebody up.

Fart Man

Did you know there is a new super hero? Well, according to Michael, there is a new superhero called "Fart Man" and his superhero powers allow him to smell people's butts. Ewwwww...... where does he come up with this stuff? I could seriously write a book about all the stuff I hear in a day. Between my own kids and the kids at school, I get a few smiles from silly, innocent and creative imaginations.

Spelling In The Car

While driving back home Friday night, Michael and I were spelling all sorts of words like mom, dad, sis, Jesse, nana, papa, dog, etc. He asked to spell all these words that were very familiar to him until he asked how this next word was spelled, "heart attack." I was like, "Heart attack." He said, "Yeah." I said, "Where did you hear that word?" He said, "Papa." I said okay and proceeded to spell the word for him. Hmmmm......

Baby Belly Laugh

Sorry about the angle.
I have a habit of turning the camera for a vertical angle but can't rotate it for videos.
So, turn your lap top or just listen because this will put a smile on your face:)

A Visit with Nana and Papa

Michael and Mom on our walk at the Park.
Mom and Michael checking out the Wooden Play Scape at the Hastings Park.
They also played hide and seek.
A pic of Mom and Aliyah, who is in the car seat as usual.
Mom is all smiles even though Aliyah still gives her a hard time.
Mom got a few chuckles, in between whines, from this stubbornly spoiled little girl.
I love every moment spent with Mom and Keith.
Aliyah just doesn't know how much more spoiling she is missing out on.

A Visit with John and Candy

I headed out on Saturday to spend a few days with family. We stopped in Charlotte at John's shop for Michael to get a long over due haircut. Lucky us, John put aside anything else he could have accomplished to spend time with us. That meant so much. John treated us to dinner on Saturday night and we spent the rest of the night just enjoying each other's company.
All I can saw is awww......
Awwww.....again:)
Sound asleep.....
Thank you so very much opening up your home to us and for all the quality time we got to spend with you both, and Sophie.
You may never know just how much it meant to me/us.
My kids just love you both.
You are going to make great parents someday!

Aliyah's First Easter.
Sunday morning we went to Thorn Apple Valley Church with John and Candy.
Aliyah spent most of the service in Candy's arms being spoiled by both John and Candy.
After church, we came back and made macaroni and cheese to take to grandma's.
We spent a few hours at Grandma and Grandpa's for Easter.
Dad took Michael on a walk back on their property to seek the creek, the turkeys and grandpa's blind. Michael getting chased out of the barn by the goats could have been sent to AFV had it been caught on tape. Aliyah, refusing to sleep at all, bit me twice today on the arm. We also went to Candy's parents house for a bit. Michael got to play with the kids and Aliyah got tons of kisses from Sunny. Then we headed over to my moms. A long day, but enjoyed every minute with friends and family.

A Visit From Grandpa Forte

We love company, especially since we haven't been able to make as many trips to visit family this year. This weekend my dad came to visit and stayed the night. This time is always so special for Michael. Aliyah is another story of course. I do have to say she is getting better. She only cried/screamed at him once. The rest of the time she spent watching from afar. Thank you dad for taking the time to come visit and stay over. It's truly quality time and we appreciate you for it.
