Rolling Over

Look who's rolling over!
She has a habit of doing it when I am not looking
and certainly not when I am recording
but she was very cooperative today:)
Must be the "I love mom," shirt she is wearing.

Wecome Candy!

This weekend I had the proud honor to take part in the wedding ceremony of my brother John and Candy Cook. It was the shortest ceremony I have ever attended but so beautiful.
I thank God he brought Candy into my brother's life. My brother has always been very selective so I knew whoever he chose to be with was going to be okay in my book but I really don't think I could have asked for a better sister-in-law. She is soo sweet, thoughtful, giving, down-to-earth, selfless, real, great with kids, positive, honest and genuinely loves my brother. Thank you for loving, caring for and accepting my brother as he is. But that's the easy part, thank you loving and accepting the rest of us too!:)
It's funny how my sister and I were always the "Forte" girls but we have both taken on other last names and Candy is now the "Forte" girl. May you wear the name long and proud! We love you!

Michael Adores his Uncle John John

It was quite an honor for Michael to be the ring bearer for his Uncle in his wedding. He loves his uncle so much, probably more than he knows. Michael asks to go to his house quite often and every time Michael uses his pretend phone, guess who he calls? Yup, his Uncle John. Every time he sees his uncle, he yells, "John, John" and makes a mad dash for his hugs. Maybe its because he and Candy have asked him to stay with them on a few occassions over the years, or maybe its because he has a pretty wife, or maybe its because he does his hair, or maybe its because of Sophie or maybe its just because he is so likeable. I don't know the reason but I do know he loves him a lot.

Michael Turns Four

Sprinkling the cupcakes the night before.

Receiving the Birthday Crown.

Happy birthday to me!
Picking out "Four" toys.

Michael passed out all his cupcakes first but still managed to finish his before everyone else.

My Four Year Old

Opening his cards from Nana, Papa and Grandpa Forte.

You had so much fun at school today!
It may be the only year you will ever be at school for your birthday!:(
We are so sorry we couldn't do much for your birthday this year
but we are grateful everyone at school made you feel so special!
You are truly special!
I love how you always want to hug, kiss and play with your baby sister.
You talk to her when she cries and you make her laugh when you act silly.
I love how you sing her the baby song, even if the words are just, "Baby, baby, baby."
It melts my heart when you say, "You're the best."
I am reminded to set a good example when you say, "Stop biting you nails. That's digusting."
I appreciate it when you hold doors open for me.
Although you ask for food ALL day long,
I appreciate it when you put all your stuff in the sink when you are done.
My ultimate favorite moments I want to remember are our mornings.
You get up, come into the room and say, "Good morning momma."
And I say, "Good morning my sunshine (because you are)."
I ask you how you slept.
You respond and get up in my lap and we just sit and hold each other.
That is my favorite part of each and every day.
I love you!

The Red Wagon Project of Westland put on this Ice Cream Social
at the park near our house. Michael got free books, snacks, and crafts.
He had a lot of fun and loves his puppy balloon.

My New Cut

I know the day will come when he will not want to grow out the curls and I hate to have them cut but they are not always easy to manage. Uncle John John always does a nice job on his hair, sometimes a little short but this has been my favorite cut yet because he left just a little curl.

I Am Three Months!

My Happy Face
I am 13 lbs. and 3 oz.
My "I just wanna be loud" face.
